Description

Space Armada

Space Armada is a space real-time strategy game built for freely configurable conquest matches. From a small foothold, exploration, economy, expansion and combat grow an interstellar armada across one continuous, reproducible map.

A match does not follow a predefined campaign. Map code, size and template determine the starting point; sensor knowledge, strategic locations, resource moons and asteroid barriers shape its course. The map remains honest: unknown space and enemy forces become visible only through actual reconnaissance.

Fleets combine different roles and can be led directly or through autonomous orders. Formations, operating areas, target priorities, retreat, supply, repairs and reinforcements remain controllable without constantly managing every individual ship.

From the admiral’s perspective, fleet markers, influence and tactical information guide you through the vast world. Zooming in presents the same ships, stations and battles spatially; simulation, selection and commands remain consistent at every scale.

Space Armada is built for long matches. Local versioned saves and rotating autosaves preserve the world, economy, fleets, sensor knowledge and active orders so a conquest can reliably continue after a break.

What is inside

What is inside

Open conquest matches

Templates and a free match combine map size, map code and reproducible star maps. Exploring, assessing, conquering and consolidating form the core loop of a match that can span multiple sessions.

Exploration, sensors and fog of war

Sensors distinguish between unknown, previously explored and currently visible space. Scouts, sensor stations and relays expand the tactical picture without revealing enemy information beyond actual visibility.

Economy, expansion and logistics

Conquered strategic locations can be developed with a mine, outpost, shipyard, command relay, sensor station, gun platform and starbase. Local storage, supply convoys, repairs and production turn expansion into a logistics network.

Fleets, battles and enemy AI

Six ship roles, formations, retreat, shields, armour and hull shape each battle. Fleets can be commanded manually or assigned the persistent Search & Destroy, Scout & Disengage and Explore & Capture orders; sensor-fair enemy AI follows the same world rules.

Spatial 3D presentation

The standard game table presents the same two-dimensional simulation spatially with RealityKit. A continuous scale leads from strategic fleet markers to 3D ships, stations, asteroids, lighting and battle effects; Metal and Canvas remain available as controlled alternatives.

Local saves and autosaves

Manual saves and three rotating autosaves are versioned and protected locally by checksums. The world, resources, construction, production, fleet orders, sensor knowledge and match status can continue after a restart.

How it works

How it works

  1. 1

Choose a template or set the map size and map code for a free match.

  2. 2

Explore unknown space with the starting fleet, build sensor knowledge and capture a key strategic location.

  3. 3

Construct mines, outposts, shipyards, relays and defences, then connect them into a supplied network.

  4. 4

Command fleets directly or set autonomous orders, formations and retreat thresholds for reconnaissance, defence and attack.

  5. 5

Save the match manually or return later through rotating autosaves with the world, economy and active orders intact.
